Eco Expo Asia 2021 enables international participation with hybrid and online exhibition options

Exhibitors will be able to take advantage of physical and online options for showcasing their innovative green products and solutions at Eco Expo Asia 2021 with the new hybrid exhibition package. This year’s fair promises to maximise the opportunities for business cooperation with online options set to enable overseas participation amid the pandemic. Eco Expo Asia 2021, under the theme ‘Promoting green recovery for carbon neutrality’, will take place from 27 – 30 October at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. The online show will run until 6 November.

Commenting on the options available for exhibitors at this year’s fair, Ms Judy Cheung, Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd said: “Following the impact of the pandemic, the trade fair industry like many others has had to adapt to the changing conditions. Online exhibition options have emerged from this, with last year’s fair taking full advantage of the new digital functions. While the additional reach provided by an online exhibition is certainly welcome, it is by no means a complete substitute for the face-to-face communication and interaction that trade fairs are so good at fostering.”

She continued: “That’s why this year we’re glad to offer a physical event, with the digital services to encourage international participation. Eco Expo Asia 2021 will therefore offer the best of both worlds with its new hybrid exhibition package, as well as standalone physical and online packages.”

Exhibitors will have three options for showcasing their products at this year’s fair, including purely physical, online or a hybrid package combining a physical booth space with the online platform to expand their global reach. All three exhibition packages give exhibitors access to the hktdc.com Sourcing website, an online marketplace with over 2 million registered buyers that employs AI & machine learning technologies to improve the business matching experience. For four months – one month prior to the fair and three months afterwards – exhibitors can create a profile for their brand, upload detailed information about their products and services, as well as photos and demo videos with which they can use to reach out to potential buyers.

Furthermore, Click2Match, a DIY matching platform, will facilitate online business meetings with AI-powered smart recommendations. The service automatically matches exhibitors with prospective buyers using
big data and AI technology. It also enables exhibitors to identify potential buyers, schedule online meetings, exchange e-business cards, conduct live chats and hold virtual meetings. This service will be included as part of the online and hybrid exhibition packages.

Value-adding marketing services are also on offer for exhibitors to maximise brand exposure at the show. Exhibitors can opt for enhanced promotional packages and deliver product demonstrations or participate in the renowned Eco Asia Conference, amongst industry leaders and experts.

Eco Expo Asia 2021 will be held from 27 – 30 October at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, with the online services running until 6 November. The fair is jointly organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and co-organised by the Environment Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government.
