GEBT 2023 returns on Friday with forums exploring green building topics

The 20th edition of Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT) will take place from 9 to 12 June 2023 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. The fair will host 3,318 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions across 220,000 sqm of exhibition space alongside the concurrent Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE). A series of forums will also be offered, with leading partners including the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), KNX as well as Connectivity Standards Alliance and many other local organisations, providing insights on industry trends such as green buildings, low carbon emissions and smart development.

This year’s GEBT will be located in hall 5.2 in Area A and halls 11.2 and 11.3 in Area B, covering innovative products, technologies and solutions from four key sectors, namely home automation, intelligent building, smart audio & visual and smart energy saving technologies. Highlighted products include:

• Electrical Engineering: Electrical accessories and materials, power supply and distribution systems, energy management systems, electricity supply / distribution equipment and electrical products, power supply, instruments, gauges and tools, electrical energy-efficiency modification equipment, control equipment, meter & monitoring and dimmer switches, Sockets and switches, lightning protection systems and equipment.
• Intelligent building and home automation: Lighting control systems, smart sun-shading systems, audio-visual systems, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, system integration, integrated cabling systems, smart security systems and more.

Events focus on green and smart development within the industry
Throughout the four-day fair, audiences will be able to participate in a number of forums and summits featuring domestic and international partner organisations that explore industry trends, such as green building practices, low carbon emissions and smart development. Highlights include:

Heading to 2060 Carbon Neutrality Goal, A Future Empowered by Green Building Innovation in GBA
Date: 9 June 2023 (14:00 – 16:20)
Organised by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and co-organised by GBA Carbon Neutrality Association, the summit will invite professors and experts from well-known universities, electricity companies and real estate companies offering their views on recent industry trends and promoting cross-industry cooperation. Topics include “The development of near-zero energy buildings in hot-summer and warm-winter regions”, “Intelligent solutions for energy efficiency and power capacity in building technology”, “Challenges and opportunities for companies in the carbon neutrality era” and more.

China (Guangzhou) Intelligent Integrators’ Conference 2023
Date: 10 June 2023 (9:30 – 12:30)
The smart home market is rapidly expanding while other small sectors are involved, and the demand for services such as interior design, system integration, installation and after-sales services as well as one-stop solutions are increasing. Qianjia Smartech will collaborate with industry experts to analyse the development strategy for home automation integration, intelligent solutions for households and courtyards, as well as the ways in which integrators can explore new business opportunities within the current market.

Forum of 2023 KNX Home and Building Control Technology – The Development and Future of KNX Energy Efficiency and Management

KNX China will highlight the advantages and continuous development of its standard in home and building automation, as well as the business opportunities and challenges that exist in China. Experts from leading brands such as Siemens and Schneider Electric will also share the applications of KNX systems in smart office and low-carbon operations.

Matter Makes Things Shine

Connectivity Standards Alliance Member Group China will focus on new version of the Matter standard in the forum. Application of Digital Intelligence in GBA Hotel Industry Seminar 2023

The Greater China Hotel Engineer Association will collaborate with representatives from electrical engineering companies, HVAC equipment companies and hotel management companies to discuss green and low-carbon solutions for hotels, heating solutions and the applications of architectural acoustics in hotels.

The Future of Carbon Conversion in Smart Space
Date: 11 June 2023 (13:30 – 16:20)
Organised by the Shenzhen Building Electrical and Intelligent Association, this summit will feature in-depth discussions on the latest applications of the Internet of Things (IoT), smart lighting in buildings and offices, and energy-efficient air conditioning solutions.

Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology and Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition will be held from 9 – 12 June 2023. Both shows are part of Messe Frankfurt’s Light + Building Technology fairs headed by the biennial Light + Building event. The next edition will be held from 3 – 8 March 2024 in Frankfurt, Germany.
